Gen B Boliden Graduate Program Automation Engineer

As a graduate, you will gain in-depth, hands-on experience across different business areas, functions, and sites in Sweden, Finland, Norway or Ireland, depending on your chosen position.

A program designed for your future
For one year, divided into three periods, you will explore how Boliden operates end to end, and how your own unique background and experience connect to the bigger picture. As a graduate, you are employed in a permanent position from day one and supported by an individual development program. Throughout the year several engaged and experienced colleagues, will guide you in your progress. You will become part of an international network of graduates and colleagues, expanding both your knowledge and connections. Six joint training weeks with top-class lecturers will challenge your thinking and give you the opportunity to further deepen your skills. After graduation you will continue your journey with a mentor for six months. In addition, you will receive practical training in project methodology and Boliden's production methods, enabling you to apply what you learn directly in our operations.

As a graduate and part of Gen B, you will be given a unique gateway into Boliden. Whether you want to grow as an expert in people & business, engineering or tech, you will get the opportunity to grow in the area that excites you the most.
In this role, based at one of our sites within Business Area Mines, you'll help us design, implement, and maintain automated solutions that make a real impact across our operations.

Responsibilities:
Develop and optimize automation workflows and tools
Improve efficiency and reliability across our operations
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement automation opportunities
Ensure systems are scalable, secure, and aligned with business needs

Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Automation Engineering, Project Engineering, Quality Engineering, Electrical Power Engineering, or equivalent
Knowledge in Lean production, project management is a plus

Who you are

What you bring
You hold the minimum required university degree, maximum of 2 years of work experience in your field of study. You can communicate clearly in English, hold a valid driver's license and are available to start in September 2026.

How to apply
Submit your application and CV in English. The selection process includes tests and personal interviews, starting after the application deadline. If qualified, you will get further instructions about the next steps in the selection process.
The assessment center will take place on-site in Sweden, on February 4-5, 2026.
Boliden will cover travel and accommodation expenses related to your participation in the assessment center.
As travel will be required before and after the event, please ensure your availability between February 3-6, 2026, should you progress to the final stage of the selection process.
