As specialist within Automation and Industry 4.0 you will work with the teams from our factories and business units to develop and implement different Industry 4.0 concepts in Operations.
You will be an important member of the central automation team which is the global reference in driving standards and solutions. You will be the responsible automation expert in the projects you participate in. Main duties will include:
• Specialist Automation and Industry 4.0
• Part of central team with global responsibility
• Develop and implement different Industry 4.0 concepts in Operations
• Develop and improve existing technologies/systems
• Support and advice in new investments
• Process development in close cooperation with manufacturing units
• Develop guidelines and set standards
• Participate in networks with others inside and outside of Alfa Laval to develop the specialist area
The position is based in Lund and may involve travelling up to 30 days per year.
Qualifications
You have a technical degree within Electrical engineering or similar and a strong technical background. A good understanding of automation technology, installations and start-up of equipment and at least 5-7 years of relevant experience from a production/manufacturing company. Experience of system design and knowledge in Rockwell or Siemens, network, HMI - Wonderware is an advantage. Experience from Industry 4.0, robotics or Industrial Internet of Things and big data analytics is preferred.
As a person, you are curious, enthusiastic and a committed problem solver with good communicating skills, a great technical interest and open minded to new technology. You have a strategic perspective in combination with good practical skills. You are a team player experienced working in projects and motivated by both finding solutions and executing projects, with a good diplomatic sense.
