The mission of the department is:
Implement car projects, ongoing changes and technical changes in production with the goal to achieve an interference-free transmission and a satisfied customer. Develop (define, prepare), implement, introduce and maintain quality assured, effective and standardized production systems according to established objectives.
Ensure process controlled product development with a focus on efficiency and quality assured production with robust design/process/technology solutions.
Extend the commonality and share best practice by working together with other departments in VCC
The Mission of the group is:
* Prepare/ develop methods and techniques for process equipment, lead and implement cross-functional projects in order to meet the requirements on lead times, costs, staffing, productivity, flexibility, safety/health/environment, quality, availability, maintainability and operating costs
* Through various forms of simulation to develop the most optimal for products and equipment (process-driven design)
* Perform tests within the joining methods used in VCBC to meet product requirements and VCC-process capability
* To administer and update the standards and technical specifications (TS) which is fundamental when we buy Assembly equipment
The position and responsibilities:
* Create and update technical equipment/ joining specification within responsible area
* Ensure that strategies, standards and specifications are met in car project and running changes
* Represent the Technology preparation of concept and feasibility study phase
* Be VCBC's representative for the technology processing issues in the relevant forum
* Ensure that planning purposes, map equipment/joining methods exist and are up to date
* Report and anchor in the current organizational structures/clients
* Within the subproject frames take the decisions necessary to meet the agreed goals
* Ensure that methods supporting the VCMS-strategy
* Within the portfolio support the VCM with specialist expertise and the power to take decisions on technical issues
* Report status and deviations in decided systems/tools and ensure that there are action plans to reach the planned target
* Ensure that training courses regarding the new technologies are available within the area of responsibility of production and maintenance
* Initiate resource requirements
* Is responsible for their own professional development
The role is challenging and provides project management skills.
Education, functional and other competencies required for the position:
* Broad technical training, college or equivalent work experience
Deep technical knowledge in their technical area of responsibility as well as practical experience in the field
* Good general IT skills
* Be familiar with the company's operations, procedures, administrative systems, standards and specifications
* Good command of English both spoken and written
* Teamwork, professionalism, operate independently, holistic approach and ability to
Meritorious:
Early experience of adhesive bonding or assemble of products within car production. Knowledge about Catia V5.
