About the position:
We are looking for an Area Product Manager for the Personal Information Applications (PIM) in UIQ. The primary focus of the role will be to define Features and Roadmaps for the UIQ product, based on
input from our customers and a variety of industry stakeholders. The scope of the PIM area includes technologies and applications such as
• Contacts
• Agenda
• To-do
• Time
• Jotter
• Voice recorder
• Messaging
Key tasks for the Area Product Manager within the PIM area: '
• Take responsibility of UIQ APIs, features and roadmaps
• Gather input to features and roadmap from customers and other industry stakeholders
• Co-operate with the UIQ Software Development Department in planning and execution
• Take a specialist role for the area within Product Management and UIQ Technology
• Analyze operator and customer requirements
• Define and monitor UIQ Technology's requirements on partners and Symbian
• Work with partners and potential partners
• Take part of Product Management Work, e.g. roadmap planning, strategy discussions, workshops, customer meetings, etc.
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
• Two (2) years experience in software development
• UIQ and/or Symbian OS C++ Programming
• Ability to structure and organize complex multi-discipline tasks and processes
• Foresee internal and external technical issues and propose appropriate actions
• Present complex technical and business matters clearly and convincingly
• Excellent communication in spoken and written English
• Enjoy external contacts (with licensees, partners, etc)
Education:
• University degree in Engineering, software related
