We are looking for two Area Managers for IKEA in Sweden who will lead and develop Market Managers across several IKEA markets to achieve IKEA goals in 360 dimensions, who will enable business transformation to deliver profitable growth and efficient operation, who will act today and develop IKEA for the future.
WHO YOU ARE
As a person you are passionate about the many people living in Sweden and are motivated to drive business growth by creating a unique image of IKEA in the many people's minds. You are curious in home furnishing and people's life at home, and you love IKEA product range. Your leadership is strong, value based and inclusive. You are energized to co-develop IKEA in Sweden with different stakeholders for today and tomorrow. You have entrepreneurial mind and strong motivation to deliver business result here and now, you have capability to build long term view for the business and people development and have ability to make things done. You have extensive and proven experience in leading and managing leaders where you have developed both business and people.
Key experiences:
• Experience from creating a long-term vision to grow future market share and penetration, that includes multiple markets
• Experience from developing diverse teams where the role/market need had to be matched to the talent strengths
• Experience from ensuring a seamless customer experience across in omnichannel context, from an area or country perspective
• Experience from optimizing a PNL from a multi market approach
• Experience from leading projects to several dimensions of IKEA (Market/Country/Global). With stakeholders in SO and/or Area Managers, where you have to influence across functions and processes
Skills and competences:
• Leading in a holistic approach and creating alignment and engagement across the business and markets
• Successfully balancing the fluent shift across strategic/tactical/operational dimensions on a day-to-day level - direction setting vs action implementation
• Skill to use data intelligence and predictive insights and how to turn these insights into strategic initiatives to drive growth and disruption
• Strong knowledge about fulfillment and how fulfillment can be a driver for growth in an area/country dimension
• Able to base decisions on cross-functional data points, without having the full picture
• Knowledge of how to balance and merge environmental, social and economic aspects to define sustainability and how IKEA uses this knowledge in striving for growth within the limits of the planet
• Knowledge about investment & resource management
• Being able to provide local relevant support and understanding on a specific market from both a short, mid to long term perspective and to constantly challenge the country organization from your area/market angle
• Being able to provide local relevant support and understanding on a specific market and at the same time consider the impact across all functional processes
