Since early 2000 we have supported our clients on a vast number of projects, all over the world. Our consultant pool consist of Swedish and non Swedish consultants within the fields of embedded systems telecommunication, online solutions and application development. Now we are looking for new candidates to come work with us as consultants, on-site with our customers in Sweden.
• ** Application Operations Engineer for assignment in Sweden ***
As an Application Operations Engineer you will belong to the Customer Operations team which is delivering telematics services through application and infrastructure operation to a number of brands. The team is part of the Service Operations and has the responsibility for the operations of our customer telematics solutions. This means that they deploy, operate and monitor our customer solutions according to agreed SLAs. The team consists of ca 30 people, represented at 3 sites (Gothenburg, Bangalore and Beijing). Members of the operations team is also part of an on-call team.
Important elements of the position are understanding operations in a Linux and Java based environment. Equally important is the understanding of Telematics and communication over mobile networks. We expect you to have the ability to troubleshoot in a complex operational environment involving multiple partners or suppliers, and to have the attitude ?we are ready only when the customer is satisfied?.
Requested competence (please make sure this is documented in your CV):
• ) Several years of experience in Linux, preferably Red Hat
• ) Experience in scripting
• ) Knowledge in high availability installations
• ) Experience in Application servers (JBoss or WebSphere)
• ) Deployment of applications in application servers
• ) Basic database knowledge (Oracle)
• ) Knowledge in Network (firewall, loadbalancing)
• ) Knowledge in ITIL
• ) Telecom experience is an advantage
Start: asap / spring 2016.
Duration: 12-24 months in site in Sweden, with a high probability for extension.
Extent: Full-time, 40h/week. Paid overtime can be requested by the customer.
Compensation: Negotiable. We offer a competitive salary, primarily in the form of a longterm employment and according to Swedish standards; governmental pension plan, five weeks paid vacation, iPad/laptop, mobile phone with data plan subscription, priority medical care insurance, health care insurance, income level insurance, work liability insurance, language course support, sports activity contribution. Paid transfer to Sweden including registered partner and children. When applicable, family members will get permit to live and work in Sweden.
For Schengen-citizens, there is also an option to undertake the assignment as a subcontractor to Telescope.
