The consultant assignment will start within 1-2 months and proceed until 31 December, to start with.

The Arena:
The department Inhalation Product Development in Gothenburg develops devices, formulations and analytical methods for both small molecule and biological drugs within the respiratory therapy area.
Tasks and responsibilities/The role:
We are looking for an analytical chemist who can work together with us to support our projects with the analyses of proteins. You will determine concentrations and purity, characterize stability and degradation of the protein, the formulated product and the individual excipients in the formulations. You will be collaborating with other analytical chemists and formulation scientists in project teams to drive the projects and technologies forward.
Minimum requirements:
MSc or equivalent in chemistry, preferably analytical chemistry, or Biotechnology. Good knowledge in written and spoken English is necessary as well as laboratory experience including working with computerized systems. You need to be well-organized, analytical, flexible and accurate.
Required experience and key factors:
Experience of working with proteins, in synthesis, structure elucidation and quantitative determination using chromatographic (HLPC, UPLC) and spectroscopic techniques (UV, MS).
Good team working skills together with the ability to operate independently are also important. Experience of working according to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) in pharmaceutical industry is an advantage.
