Transmission Engineering is responsible for delivering verified gearbox and transmission components to the Powertrain projects. The main components are automatic and manual gearboxes, shifter systems, clutch systems, drive shafts, AWD systems and Electric Rear Axle Drive (ERAD). The group Transmission Testing is one of the department's six sections and perform analysis and verification of the complete transmission system in both vehicle and test bench. The group consist of 16 persons divided into four testing areas. The department is now facing an increased verification need with new projects and an increasing number of electrical applications. We therefore have an available position as Analysis Engineer within our automatic gearbox test team. We are looking for you who enjoy driving, want to test and analyse our new products to find deviations and together with the engineering team create outstanding products.

As Analysis Engineer you will work closely with the automatic transmission testing team, product development, suppliers, project leaders (SPL) and also surrounding departments such as engine engineering, NVH and the calibration team.

Main responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and perform test in test bench and vehicle
• Solve transmission issues both hardware and software
• Analyse data and prepare test reports
• Attend project meetings.
• Testing is mainly carried out locally in Gothenburg but you will also perform test activities at Hällered proving ground and at expeditions in winter and summer climate.

Required qualifications

• Sc within Mechatronics, or a similar education
• Programming skills, for example Matlab Simulink and Python
• Experience of measurement technology, for example INCA, CANalyzer and SDA
• Experience of vehicle communication, for example CAN communication
• Driver's license B, meritorious with BE
• Fluent in English, written and spoken
• Basic electrical architecture knowledge in vehicle preferable also high voltage systems
• Experience of testing in vehicle or test bench
