SAS Technical Operations holds the following approvals:
• EASA Part M, subpart G: Continuing Airworthiness Management Organization approval (CAMO).
• EASA Part 145: Maintenance Organization approval.
• EASA Part 147: Maintenance Training Organization approval.
• EASA Part 21/G: Production Organization approval (POA).
• EASA Part 21/J: Design Organization approval (DOA).
Technical Operations mission is to deliver airworthy aircraft according to SAS Standards and to lowest possible cost.
Aircraft Avionics Engineer Scandinavian Technical Operations.
Engineering as a central part of SAS Technical Operations. consists of teams covering:
Avionics, Systems, Structures, Power plant and Payload
Technical Records, Airworthiness Support and Maintenance Data
Project Management.
Maintenance Program and Reliability.
As part of the Aircraft Avionics Team you will work with aircraft. systems such as Navigation, Communication and Electrical. power on a variety of aircraft types such as B737NG and Airbus 320 and CRJ900. The focus is to maintain the Continuing Airworthiness, safety and reliability of the aircraft and components in line with the manufacturer recommendations and the regulatory requirements. In addition, the Aircraft Avionics Engineer continuously improves our product and processes with cost saving initiatives to help determine our service in a complex and demanding environment.
Your Duties
Provides substantiation data for maintenance program task escalation and de-escalation.
Ensure that Airworthiness Directives are being processed through technical assessment and preparation of Engineering Orders.
Review and recommend incorporation of Service Bulletins to enhance safety, operational performance and reliability in order to gain lower cost during operation.
Support the 145 maintenance organizations, logistics and planning sections.
Ensure the achievement of technical reliability targets.
Carry out occurrence/Incident investigations.
Define and control the configuration status for the aircraft/components.
Define and ensure the implementation of actions resulting from non-conformance findings as part of Quality Audit Reports or Airworthiness Review.
Participate in Design projects as part of SAS Part 21 Design Organization.
Participate in other administrative projects when deemed appropriate.
Formal and Personal Requirements
University degree or equivalent in Aeronautical/Avionics/Electrical Engineering.
Capable of working across departments with project management and planning skills.
Preferable knowledge of EASA Part 145 and especially Part M regulations.
Relevant knowledge and appropriate experience related to aircraft continuing airworthiness and/or maintenance.
Preferable experience from working with B737NG, Airbus 320/330/340 or CRJ900.
Fluent in English.
Team oriented, self-motivated and very good communication and interpersonal skills.
Analytical and target-oriented.
Process minded and high level quality awareness.
