As Accounting Manager you will have:
• Complete responsibility for external accounting in the group
• Complete responsibility for internal accounting, including project and business unit reporting
Job description
As Accounting Manager at Propellerhead you will be a member of our Finance/Admin team, currently consisting of 4 people. You will report to the CFO and you will have responsibility for (initially) one more team member that handles the supplier ledger and other general ledger entry.
We run a modern company, with a large catalog of products, and varying business and payment models. As a consequence, the work in our finance department is fairly complex. Not only do we perform all customary tasks but we also have the responsibility for the interaction with our IT and back-end order administration systems. The person we are looking for finds this positively challenging.
The major tasks consist of:
• Monthly and year-end accounting for the group
• Analysis and write-ups on the financial progress of the
company
• Coordination and completion of the yearly budgets
• Project analysis, management and project accounting
• Improvement and development work in admin projects, such as
automating tasks and increasing efficiency in processes
• Improvement of reports to other departments
Qualifications
There are no formal requirements for this position but we require competence and knowledge in the following fields:
• Advanced knowledge of and experience in accounting and
accounting principles, both internal and external
• Experience from independently closing books at year-end
• Advanced knowledge in international VAT principles
• Completely comfortable in communicating in English
• Experience from project accounting and project management
