Account Manager

Our continued strong growth and expanding product and services offering provides us to the pleasure of further strengthening our sales team at Altair. We are looking to expand our Nordic organization with an additional Account Manager, which gives you an amazing opportunity to apply for a position in one of the most exciting company in the CAE software industry.

Job Description

Your primary responsibilities will be to initiate software and services business with companies that are currently not Altair's customers, as well as uncovering new business opportunities within existing accounts. You will be part of the sales team reporting to the Regional Sales Director.
A core task will be to identify customer needs and present Altair's products, services and solutions appropriately and effectively the customer, whilst actively seeking our new business.
In addition, you will be responsible for ensuring the prospect pipeline is populated with a balance of short, mid and long-term prospects, sufficient for the continuous attainment of the short- and long-term targets.
Depending on your profile, you will be focusing on growing new sales across the region, a specific geographic region or industry segment.
Besides tight collaboration with the clients and prospects, you will work closely with all departments within Altair, such as marketing, product development and technical sales specialists to ensure our clients a great customer experience.

Additionally, you will e.g. be:
• Establishing, developing and maintaining business relationships with current and prospective customers to generate new business for Altair's products and solutions
• Ensuring up to date knowledge of Altair's new and existing products and solutions to facilitate sales efforts
• Researching sources for developing prospective customers and for information to determine their potential
• Developing clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers
• Creating and maintaining account plans for existing customers
• Providing accurate forecasting for new sales and renewal revenues
• Actively participate in marketing events, showcasing Altair's products and solutions
• Proactively alert customer to new or improved products and solutions

The position is located at one of our offices in Sweden (Lund, Gothenburg or Stockholm) or Finland (Helsinki). Alternatively, the right candidate may work from a home office.


Qualifications

To be successful in this role we believe that you should:

• Have a great business mind, specifically understand how Altair can create value for the customer and how to create revenue for Altair based on that
• Excel in creating, developing and maintaining business relationships.
• Be driven and willing to take on responsibility.
• Be a strong communicator, both orally and in writing.
• Be fluent in English. Speaking another Nordic language is an advantage, but not required.
• Have a background in Sales and/or CAE. Previous experience in CAE Software sales is advantageous.
• Have experience from using CAE software
• Have a master's degree in business, engineering, technology or related discipline (or equivalent knowledge/experience)
• Be excited about travelling in the Nordic and Baltic states to meet existing and potential clients. We believe that you will spend minimum 50% of your time doing this.
