The Academic Manager reports to the Assistant Principal and works closely with the Head of Years and the Head Of Department.
The Academic Manager liaises with Head Office and other authorities to ensure that the high academic standards of the school are maintained.
Key areas of responsibility:
• Oversee academic policies, procedures and routines.
• Coaching, evaluation of teaching.
• Support with teachers professional development.
• Assist the Principal in ensuring that the quality of teaching, learning, planning, and assessment are of the highest quality.
• Meet other Academic Reps and work closely with Head Office on the continued academic development of the organisation as a whole.
• Assist the Assistant Principal and enforce school rules, routines and policies.
• Promote professionalism in all manners in relationships between teachers, students, and parents, and publicly support the school vision and goals to the mentors.
You know the Swedish School Law and LGR11 well.
You are fluent in Swedish and English.
You are enthusiastic, organised and a natural leader.
You are capable of using your own initiative.
