We are looking for an experienced Welding Specialist who will be an important player driving our quality strategy forward within the welding area.
The Quality organisation within Tetra Pak PSE Production Centre Lund, Modena & Certified Renovated Operations a highly dedicated and quality focused team, managing quality assurance and quality control within our production centre.
In the role as Welding Specialist, you will be working closely together with production teams, design & engineering and supplier management organisations and a high level of communication skills as well as integrity is required.
Our production centre assembles and test key components, processing units and packaging equipment for the food industry, and welding is one of our core competences.
We prioritise Safety First and are working with continuous improvements according to the philosophy of WCM - World Class Manufacturing.
This position is based in Lund, Sweden and some travelling, mainly to suppliers will be required.
What you will do
As Welding Specialist, you will:
Be the welding expert within the production centre with daily support to organisation
Participate, develop and maintain welding technology and quality control of welding
Document and perform welding tests
Develop and coordinate welding personnel
Initiate and prolong welder approvals
Issue and maintain WPS (welding procedure specifications)
Implement and maintain compliance according to Tetra Pak Corporate Standards and customer requirements and owner of welding related KPI's
Responsible for maintaining ISO 3834-2
Represent our production centre in global Tetra Pak network for welding coordinators and other external networks to secure core competence in welding
Support design & engineering in development projects to secure "Design for Manufacturing"
Participation in quality projects, WCM teams and problem solving
Who you are
We believe you are a quality focused and responsible person with a high degree of integrity and a talent to collaborate and work in teams, functions, and levels. Due to the wide range of stakeholders, you need to have the ability to be clear in your communication both verbally and in writing, and you should not fear to make inconvenient decisions. High accuracy is a basic requirement as well as a professional response to both colleagues, suppliers and customers.
To be successful in this position, you have at least three years of experience as welding coordinator or similar role within the manufacturing industry. If you have experience of delivering training, both locally and globally, it is a plus. It is required that you have a deep understanding of ISO 3834-2 and we believe that you have at least Visual Testing level II and IWS, IWT or IWE, and/or a post-secondary technical diploma education. The position requires that you have excellent skills both verbally and written in Swedish and in English.
