Hiva Relations Company is looking for a self-motivated graphic designer and Farsi text editor to join to the production department in the Stockholm office. A graphic designer is responsible for creating design solutions which have a high visual impact. The role involves listening to clients and understanding their needs before making design decisions. Their designs are required for a huge variety of products and activities, such as websites, advertising, books, magazines, posters, computer games, product packaging, exhibitions and displays, corporate communications and corporate identity (e.g. giving organizations a visual 'brand').
As an editor he/she has to prepare Farsi news which requires having journalist skills. Having knowledge in social science is preferable. It is required to be up-to-date in sociology area and have enough knowledge about Iranian lives in foreign countries.
Typical work activities as a graphic designer
• Meeting clients or account managers to discuss the business objectives and requirements of the job;
• Interpreting the client's business needs and developing a concept to suit their purpose;
• Estimating the time required to complete the work and providing quotes for clients;
• Developing design briefs by gathering information and data through research;
• Thinking creatively to produce new ideas and concepts;
• Using innovation to redefine a design brief within the constraints of cost and time;
• Presenting finalized ideas and concepts to clients or account managers;
• Working with a wide range of media, including photography and computer-aided design (CAD);
• Proofreading to produce accurate and high-quality work;
• Contributing ideas and design artwork to the overall brief;
• Demonstrating illustrative skills with rough sketches;
• Working on layouts and art working pages ready for print;
• Developing interactive design;
• Commissioning illustrators and photographers;
• Working as part of a team with printers, copywriters, photographers, stylists, illustrators, other designers, account executives, web developers and marketing specialists.

Typical work activities as a Farsi text editor
• As an editor he/she is responsible to prepare, rewrite and edit Farsi text and news to improve readability, or supervise others who do this work;
• Read copy or proof to detect and correct errors in spelling, punctuation, and syntax;
• Allocate print space for news text, photos, and illustrations according to space parameters and copy significance, using knowledge of layout principles;
• Plan the contents of publications according to the publication's style, editorial policy, and publishing requirements;
• Verify facts, dates, and statistics, using standard reference sources;
• Review and approve proofs submitted by composing room prior to publication production.

Basic Technical Skills/Knowledge
Back-end Technical CMS Skills/Knowledge
Photoshop, Illustrator and online content management systems specialty Joomla is essential
Any of the following will be of interest: Java, PHP, OSX, Apache would be an advantage.
