• About the workplace
Gynecology operations are part of the women's clinic, which is county-wide in Kronoberg. We have a service area of approximately 60,000 inhabitants. At the women's clinic, there are great opportunities for professional development and short decision-making paths. We offer a flexible schedule with individual adaptation.
Publiceringsdatum2022-11-11ArbetsuppgifterOur gynecological practice is broad with receptions including contraception reception, infertility reception and abortion reception. We also have a broad operative business in benign surgery. We perform both open and laparoscopic surgery. At the gynecology clinic, there are contact nurses connected to our cancer patients and a urotherapist connected to the operation.
We are a close-knit and open-minded team that works together and has daily and close collaboration with other surgical specialties.
There is no delivery or maternity care in Ljungby, all obstetrics takes place in Växjö. We supervise "running" district doctors and AT doctors in gynecology.
Region Kronoberg operates two hospitals, one in Ljungby and one in Växjö. Both are emergency hospitals with operations around the clock. At the gynecological clinic in Ljungby, gynecologists work during the day, while the gynecological practice in Växjö is conducted around the clock. Gynecologists in Ljungby are not included in the on-call operations conducted by the surgeon and orthopedic clinic.
