The Role
As the VP for the business unit Launchers, you have significant authority and influence.
You lead and mentor an engaged and goal-oriented management team with 8 direct reports in Sweden, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. You are also highly involved in global initiatives together with your colleagues from Europe and US. You are part of the Launchers leadership team, reporting to the divisional EVP.
In your role, you are responsible for leading and ensuring that Beyond Gravity achieves operational and engineering excellence. You are fully responsible for P&L, cash flow, and management accounting. You manage the business unit's budget, financial performance, and resource allocation while ensuring all activities comply with industry regulations and manage risks associated with space operations. In parallel with these responsibilities, you are also very close to the day-to-day operations from a manufacturing perspective.
You manage a complex and exciting customer portfolio and maintain and build relationships with key customers, including regular travels. Meeting customer expectations and ensuring timely delivery is always top of mind and you thrive in turning customer mission turn into client success.
A key aspect of your responsibility to achieve this is leading the different business transformation streams within the company:
Digital Transformation: Includes full responsibility for implementing new systems and driving the digital roadmap throughout the organization.
Product Transformation: Aims to achieve Beyond Gravity's first smart and data-driven factory, with the factory in Linköping leading the change and acting as the company's pilot case.
Culture Transformation: Involves transitioning the company into new space age
Who are you?
We're looking for an experienced business leader with extensive experience in the manufacturing industry. You have an impressive and proven track record in turnaround management and are accustomed to leading transformations.
To succeed in this role, you must have prior experience working in an international organization.
Your educational background is likely in engineering or a technical field, and you have a genuine passion for and interest in the space industry. Fluency in Swedish and English, in both speech and writing, is a requirement.
As Beyond Gravity and the industry it operates in are in the midst of a transformation journey, it is crucial that you have experience in and appreciate change management. You have a passion for building, developing, and leading teams and seamlessly switch between customer and people perspectives.
We are looking for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and has a strong inner drive with the ability to motivate and inspire others. As a person, you are clear and results-oriented, and you feel confident in making difficult and challenging decisions, always with a focus on people.
