As the division grows we have a challenging opportunity for an ambitious and motivated Senior Finance Analyst/Controller to join the Nordic finance team.
Description
Reporting to the Director of Finance for the Retail Division the Senior Finance Analyst/Controller is responsible for both Controlling and Financial Planning and Analysis for the division as well as supporting the Denmark, Sweden and Norway subsidiaries. Your key responsibilities will be business partnering, financial planning, business analysis, and reporting as well as being involved in a number of ad hoc projects and initiatives.
Responsibilities
• Lead planning cycles including developing estimates, budgets and forecasts, business reviews, KPIs and ad-hoc corporate reporting
• Collect and collate financial information from the business units and regions, and establish the monthly reporting to business leaders.
• Maintain monthly forecast for divisional and country specific revenues, margins, costs and cash; communicate current results and estimates to business leaders.
• Help create long-range plans, understanding / evaluating key business drivers. Tracking progress against plans at a granular level. Recommending actions to get to planned performance.
• Take the lead on developing our Business Intelligence system, as well as the development of the Controlling function for the countries.
• Lead and provide analytics on strategic initiatives. Understand, communicate and explain variance drivers within the business and identify root cause and action owners for each.
• Ensure best practice is identified and leveraged across the division.
• Driving standardization & process improvement across division in all aspects of planning and reporting, including best practice sharing.
Qualifications and skills
You will have at least a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in Business Administration or Finance and a minimum of 5 years experience in a FP&A and/or Controlling position. You will demonstrate significant practical experience in financial planning, business analysis, and reporting. Independent, self motivated, attentive to details, you will be a true business partner who has;
• Highly developed planning & analytical capabilities obtained within a commercial environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence others and drive change while working across all levels, functions, and regions.
• Strong drive and high energy level with a result oriented mind set.
• Analytical skills: able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change.
• Strong system skills: super user experience with financial systems and BI applications
• Strong Excel skills: data compilation and aggregation (i.e. Pivots, Lookup, Macros).
• Working knowledge of financial compliance: IFRS, GAAP
