We are now looking for an experienced software engineer with a focus on embedded video encoding to join our Core Technologies Media team.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
The Core Technologies Media team is responsible for the embedded video and audio software platform in our network cameras. The team are experts within video encoding and video quality and has built up a deep and broad understanding of different codec standards that is used finding new innovative surveillance solutions. We work closely with the end customers to understand value and develop new concepts with a strong partnership.
Our responsibility includes
Develop and maintain our technology platform. This includes driver and algorithm development. Our platform supports a large number of products and is compatible with different generations of HW platforms.
Take advantage of new good ideas and external requirements and together find new innovative video solutions that will give value to our customers.
Understand and monitor trends, customer demands and new video initiatives, this to be able to take the correct long term decisions.
The typical employee in our team works in roles such as software engineer, technical lead or technical expert.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We think you are an engineer with some years of experience and that you have good knowledge of software development and experience of programming in an embedded environment, preferably Linux. It is a bonus if you have experience within video codecs (H.264, HEVC, and MJPEG).
As a person you are curious, positive and have an open mindset. You have a strong technology interest and you like to find innovative solutions on tough challenges even if it is outside your comfort zone.
You should be familiar with working in projects based on agile work methods. You embrace teamwork but at the same time, you have the ability to work unsupervised.
You preferably have a Master's degree in computer science, physics, electrical engineering or similar.
