Your mission
In this position, you're working closely with our President and the Vice President Finance as you lead HR with a strategic outlook - making sure we have a clear roadmap and broad understanding of how to establish operational excellence and building the workforce for the future. Adapting to shifting market conditions, contributing in exciting change projects and amplifying quality of leadership are focus areas - and not to forget the importance of enhancing employee engagement and a learning culture. You're also responsible for a wide range of HR activities and processes such as Performance Management, Diversity and Inclusion, People Development, Talent Acquisition and Succession Planning. As accountable for the complete HR delivery you develop and implement a people strategy closely linked to our business needs. Acquisitions are a natural part of our agenda, and as we're growing, you provide HR guidance and support in mergers and acquisitions - including due diligence and driving HR integration processes.
Acting in a global environment with many exciting encounters across both cultures and borders, you need to be the number one promoter of excellent collaborations. You develop networks and establish partnerships - both internally and with relevant industries and universities - and you constantly touch base with the wider organization to ensure synergies and share knowledge. You lead an HR team of approximately 140 people including HR Services - supporting the rest of Sandvik in 14 countries. You report to the President of Sandvik Coromant and are an active member in our management team, as well as a member of Sandvik Machining Solutions' HR management team and get great opportunities for collaboration across Sandvik Group. Location for the role is flexible in Sweden. Since we're a global business, travel is a natural part of the job as well efficient digital collaboration across time zones to have strong presence in our organization.
Your character
Your background includes a relevant academic degree, combined with extensive experience from managing and understanding the wide spectrum of HR in a global, complex, and multicultural arena. You understand how to secure the HR delivery in a virtual setting where acquisitions are common, and you embrace the challenges and opportunities of HR connected to global operations. Previously experience working with people strategies is needed, and you're skilled in building teams, developing individuals, and setting ways of working. Additionally, you have the tools and know-how for successful change management, HR projects and implementation of new initiatives. As we're a global player, you naturally need advanced skills in English.
