We are expanding which is why we are searching for several veterinarians who are willing to help us further build our animal hospital. At the moment there are 8 veterinarians working on the Small Animal Clinic and 8 veterinarians working on the Horse Clinic. Together with nurses, biomedical analysts, receptionists and administration personnel the Skara Animal Hospital now employs 50 persons.
VETERINARIANS WANTED FOR THE SMALL ANIMAL CLINIC
Veterinarian - specialist in the diseases of the dog and cat
We are looking for a small animal specialist with an interest in internal medicine and surgery. Your work will involve both medical and surgical investigation cases; we will work out the details in dialogue with you, based on interest and experience. The position also to some extent involves guidance of younger colleagues and sometimes student nurses. We are looking for a veterinarian that have particular interest in the areas of reproduction, diagnostic imaging or surgery and who are eager to develop the skills further. The work here is patient orientated and involves both first line patients and referrals.
Full or part time position is subject to negotiation.
Clinic veterinarian for small animal clinic
For this position we need a veterinarian with several years of professional experience who wants to work with specialized small animal care. Your work will involve rotation between the three different units - surgery, clinic and stationary department- at the animal hospital with a variety of cases. You have a broad interest in medicine and surgery and have good communication skills, which means you are capable of cooperation with your coworkers and the owners of the patients. You can balance between attention to detail and the "full picture" in your day-to-day work. If you have particular expertise or interest in the area of ultrasound diagnostics, that will be a plus.
The position is considered to be a full time (100 %) or part time (at least 80%), including evenings and weekends.
Veterinarian - surgery/orthopaedics, small animal clinic
Experienced veterinarian with mainly surgical interest and with several years of specialisation in orthopaedic cases, including diagnostics, surgery, follow-up and rehabilitation, those same areas that will be your main work here with us. You will have the unit responsibility of our surgery department, including day-to-day management and development. You have excellent skills in cooperation and communication and your ambition level is high.

VETERINARIANS WANTED FOR THE HORSE ANIMAL CLINIC
Veterinarian - medicine/stationary department
Experienced veterinarian in horse medicine with an interest in medical investigations. You will have the unit responsibility of our stationary department, including day-to-day management and development. You have excellent skills in cooperation and communication and your ambition level is high. Specialist in the diseases of the horse is a qualification but not a requirement. You will have major opportunity to influence the content of care and procedures for the stationary patients, as well as the content of public relations aimed at the owners of the patients. The position is considered to be either 80 % or 100%, included evenings and weekends.
