What you'll do?At Veoneer in Linköping we develop leading edge camera systems for active safety and for the future autonomous cars. You will be part of the Vehicle Integration team that ensure cameras and other sensors in Veoneer's test and demo vehicles are set up appropriately to be able to run tests and preparing them for data collection assignments around the world. The role includes working hands on with installing and calibrating cameras and reference sensors (such as radar, lidar, internal measurement devices, etc.). In the role you cooperate and share experiences and knowledge with team members on a daily basis, as well as collaborating intensely with internal stakeholders, in order to ensure we deliver a great product to our end customers.
Responsibilities for the work role includes:
• Setup of cameras and other sensors in test- and demo-vehicles to run functional tests as well to prepare them for data collection excursions.
• Ensuring Veoneer cameras (and other sensors) can communicate properly with vehicles internal system (writing gateway code).
• Install and calibrate reference sensors in vehicles(reference sensors are complementary sensors that provide a "ground truth" for the main camera).
• Performing software updates in vehicles, including execution of sanity check tests
• Perform and analyze vehicle sensor calibration
• Create 'vehicle sensor installation documents' that are used by drivers and Veoneer customer engineers when setting up vehicles abroad.
• Supporting Veoneer engineers at customer sites in Sweden and abroad.
• Educate test drivers in setting up and using sensors and measurement systems.
• Working off-site at test grounds or at customer facilities (in Sweden and abroad) to make vehicles ready for tests and demonstrations.
What you'll bring?In order to succeed in the role, we would like you to:
• Be self-driven to identify problems, areas of improvements and taking initiative in finding solutions.
• Being able to tackle challenges on the go and being comfortable working in an environment with a high level of uncertainty and sometimes changing requirements.
• Have a passion for technology and enjoy "getting your hands dirty" in the garage as well as in front of the computer.
• Communicate fluently in english
• Drivers license
We also prefer that you have:
• MSc in Physics, Computer science, Electronics or similar
• Experience of working with electronics as well as computer programming
• Communicate fluent in English and preferably in Swedish
