The Connected Car & UX department within CEVT is searching for a UX Designer for the complete product user experience for the Connected Car & UX deliveries, consisting of Infotainment and connectivity system and user interaction both inside and outside of vehicle cockpit.
The role as UX Designer includes creation and development of user experience, interaction design, graphic design etc. for CEVT's Infotainment system including all in-vehicle screens as well as other areas users interact with, such as steering wheel controls, floor console, mobile app and accessory products, to mention a few. The UX team does everything from user research to prototype development, and thus work as cross-functional as possible. In addition to vehicle development projects, we are also part of separate innovation projects, exploring new ways of expanding UX with new technology and prerequisites.
As UX designer, you will be part of an agile team setup where we allow team members plenty of freedom. In return, we expect that each team members takes responsibility for our product development and efficiency in way of working. In the UX team we strive to focus on our team members, giving them prerequisites to develop the best possible experience for our users in a complex environment. Every team member is equally responsible for the final delivery to the project. This requires a high level of cooperation and team work.
You will work in close cooperation with designers, system and function owners, testers, and other component owners. You will be part of a global development team with resources in both Sweden and China.
As we work in a global environment, travels may be needed, especially to Asia.
Each individual in our team has a high level of responsibility and mandate, and is expected to be able to work autonomously.
Profile and background
* Professional education in UX, HMI, graphics design or similar
* >3 years experience of UX design, preferably within embedded system development
* Experience of GUI development and prototyping is an advantage
* Experience within automotive is an advantage
* Relevant working experience within UX and HMI areas and/or front-end programming
Driver's license B is required
* Software and IT: Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite programs is a requirement
* Knowledge of SW development is an advantage
* Knowledge of Sketch and Principle is an advantage
Knowledge of HW prototype development is an advantage
* Personal attributes: Strong sense of teamwork
