Through this transformation Scania will adapt from being a supplier of trucks, buses, and engines to also being a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.
Mobility Solutions is our new business area with the mission to lead Scania's ambition to take a larger role in the transport ecosystem. Today Mobility Solutions primarily focus on driving Scania's autonomous transport roadmap and providing Transport-as-a-Service (LOTS Group). Tomorrow, we look to develop and deliver new businesses supporting Scania's long-term growth and profitability through our new Corporate Venturing function.

Gaia Gen is a start-up initiative financed and owned by Scania and hosted by Scania Ventures at Mobility Solutions. We offer a SaaS tool helping IT companies make their cloud IT systems climate efficient. We are currently four bright stars (employees) and are looking to expand with more.
Now, we are preparing the journey of becoming an independent start-up company.

At Gaia Gen we are evolving the future of software development by empowering and engaging the development community around environmentally efficient IT systems.
As a first step we are focusing on calculation and visualization of climate impact from cloud infrastructure. These types of visualizations are not really available in the world today ... we at Gaia Gen want to change this! This step mainly includes Gaia Gen as SaaS-solution, requiring both integration to customers usage data and identity providers, scientific emission calculations on energy but also the graphical tool itself that does the visualizations.
