hela Sverige In recent years, the Faculty of Textiles, Engineering and Business has undergone significant development in the research field of Resource Recovery. The research and education environment today consists of seven professors, about 30 doctoral students, and 30 senior teachers and researchers and post docs. Education is conducted at both the Bachelor's and Master's levels and we also have our unique doctoral education programme in Resource Recovery. We have access to modern and well-equipped teaching and research laboratories. Research in Resource Recovery mainly deals with fields of energy, industrial biotechnology, polymer technology, resource management as well as civil engineering. We have a large network, both nationally and internationally, and well-developed collaborations with both industry and public actors.
Job description
As a lecturer in Energy Engineering, you will mainly teach at the advanced level within the Master's Programme in Resource Recovery - Sustainable Energy Processes. Research, teaching at the undergraduate level, supervision of degree projects and development of courses and educational programmes are also included in your duties. Furthermore, you are expected to participate in the development and planning of individual courses, within the Master's Programme in Resource Recovery - Sustainable Energy Processes and the Energy Engineering Programme, as well as to collaborate with staff in other subjects to contribute to knowledge development in accordance with the university's goals and visions. Participation in courses within other programmes as well as freestanding courses may also occur.
It is important that you actively work for a good collaboration with industry, research institutes, and the public sector. The University of Borås attaches great importance to connections to research in our educational programmes, which means communicating national and international research, but also to include research methodology and a scientific approach.
Qualifications
The position requires demonstrated teaching expertise in thermal processes, energy systems and modelling, and at least a licentiate degree in Resource Recovery - Energy Engineering or equivalent. Applicants should have good knowledge of energy engineering as well as relevant work and research experience. Furthermore, good knowledge of the modelling tools FactSage, Aspen Plus, Thermo-Calc and Comsol is required, as well as experience of experimental and theoretical research in thermal processes. The ability to communicate fluently in English, both written and spoken, is also a requirement.
Furthermore, employment presupposes that you have good collaboration and initiative-taking skills, the capacity to work independently and in a structured manner, and the ability to prioritise among tasks.

A general eligibility requirement for permanent employment as a teacher is completion of training in teaching and learning in higher education equivalent to 10 weeks of full-time studies, or equivalent competence An employee who does not have training in teaching and learning in higher education may complete the training during the first two years of employment.
