Are you a native English speaker with a good command of Swedish?

Orange Box AB is a language company offering high quality translation services and language courses. We have a wide customer base and our language solutions assist Swedish companies to communicate efficiently on international markets. The translation side of our business is growing at a fast pace and therefore we are looking to complement our team with a translator who can translate from Swedish to English.

Skills requirement
Experience of translation is preferable, but is not a prerequisite. However, mother tongue fluency in English and a good command of Swedish are essential. Furthermore, we expect you to take responsibility and ownership of your assignments. In addition you should:
• be capable of working to tight deadlines
• focus on details
• have good IT skills (ability to use the MS Office package)
• have the ability to work independently and on your initiative

Assignments
The translation work varies and includes
• legal documents (court rulings and notices, provisions etc.)
• annual reports
• press releases
• academic texts (dissertations, reports etc.)
• contracts (lease agreements, employment contracts etc.)
• instruction manuals

We realize that translation involves a steep learning curve and that it will take time for our new translator to become familiar with terminology and our style of writing. Therefore, we will support you throughout this learning process and you will always have an experienced translator to turn to for advice and guidance.
