Job description:
The IT Support Technician will form part of a global IT team, supporting our international organization. You will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of defined computer equipment, for the resolution of identified technical problems, and supporting internal users by providing solutions to software, hardware, networking and communication issues, during working hours and on an on-call rotation. The position also encompasses data backup rotations, client hardware/software distribution, and occasional network cabling.
Main tasks:
• Provide front line Help Desk support
• Troubleshoot basic networking and connectivity issues
• Install, configure, and maintain Windows XP, 7, Mac and supplementary applications such as Microsoft Office
• Provide phone support (IP and mobile)
• Maintain user-focused portions of the Help Desk FAQ
• Evaluate new hardware and software technologies
Qualifications:
• 1-3 years experience in providing Desktop/Help Desk support
• Strong communication skills with a keen sense of customer service
• Intimate knowledge of desktop operating environment
• Effective network troubleshooting skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in both English and Swedish
