Ocean Infinity is seeking a Trainee Data Processor who will report to the Deputy Data Processing Lead and work within the data processing department to gain awareness and experience of hydrographic surveying, data processing, and reporting.
What will you do:
Gain experience of the data processing software and techniques used within the offshore survey industry;
Perform tasks assigned and request assistance when needed;
Assist colleagues to ensure that processing routines are continuously reviewed with respect to efficiency and quality;
Be proactive in self-development;
Identify personal training needs, bring them to the attention of the Department Lead's, whilst take full advantage of the education provided;
Work with a team in our Gothenburg based operations centre that follows a shift pattern to cover 24 hour operations.
Who you are:
In possession of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent (preferably in hydrography or oceanography, but Geography, Computer Science, Earth Science or similar will also be considered).
Thoughtful, thorough and conscientious;
Interested in others and strives for the best for the team;
Ability to take ownership and engagement in the work;
Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment;
Strong communication skills;
Driven, proactive and able to work autonomously with little supervision towards the company's purpose;
Critical thinking and ability to show initiative;
Open and receptive to new and different ideas;
Have the ability to work well in a team and independently;
Enthusiastic about protecting people and the planet;
Good practical experience with MS office tools: Office, Teams, e-mail, among others.
Salary for this position: 360,000 SEK per annum
Number of positions available: 10
Salary: The salary varies for this position as we are recruiting in multiple regional locations and job grades. The salary process is based on skills, abilities, and experience required.
