The scope of the Ericsson Supply Site (ESS) Trade role is to ensure that products, (i.e. product packages and product families during its life time) can be supplied world wide according to Trade Compliance requirements, in alignment with the Ericsson Business process. Inform and support in the operational daily work in trade compliance matters related to supply. The appointed person is expected to build a network of compliance contacts within the own supply area of responsibility.
Description
Trade includes, US content maintenance in Contract on all products that is included in the ESS portfolio, local Customs issues, support with Trade knowledge when local export appears, support Claims & Repair units with Trade knowledge. The scope also includes the mission to implement and drive improvements in cooperation with the other people working with Trade to reach operational excellence.
The Inbound Distribution Manager function shall work with the inbound distribution activities for a specific ESS to ensure an efficient and cost effective inbound distribution of products.
Responsibility/ Main Tasks Trade
• Ensure that Trade Compliance directives and other steering documents are implemented and followed within the ESS
• Ensure trade compliance is secured in NPI/TPI for new/changed supply chain set up. Support ESS management decision-making based on analyze of consequences on trade regulations
• Initiate correction of Master Data
• Ensure business cases include trade compliance aspects
• Report irregularities and violations with respect to Export Control
• Administrate customs statistical inquiries for the deliveries from the ESS
• Continuously work for competence development in trade compliance matters, e.g. arrange education and give support to own personal within the own ESS
• Implement and develop trade compliance processes that apply to the ESS
• Participate in the ESS Trade Compliance Advisor network
Responsibility/ Main Tasks Inbound Distribution
• Acting as problem solver and mediator for Inbound Distribution issues
• Maintaining regular contact with Distribution Service Providers (DSPs) and providing feed-back to the ESS personnel on issues of interest
• Acting as contact person for both ESS personnel and DSPs for Inbound Distribution matters
• Assisting the ESS personnel in achieving cost avoidance and cost reductions within Inbound Distribution
• Advising the ESS personnel on all matters concerning Inbound Distribution
• Providing advisory support and distribution cost estimates in connection with sourcing of hardware products from external suppliers
• Keeping up-to-date with general developments in the ESS and DSPs organizations and evaluating the impact on the Inbound Distribution operation
• Participating in activities to design or re-design the supply chain for new suppliers, new shipping points and new products
• Participating in and contributing to the Ericsson Distribution Logistics network
Qualifications
• Good knowledge of trade compliance, which primarily includes EU, US export control laws and regulations, Customs issues, Preferential Origin/ Free Trade matters
• Ability to lead and guide the Supply unit's in daily operation within the trade area according to Ericsson policy and Directives
• Knowledge of the BNET product portfolio in HW, SW and Services
• Knowledge about existing supply flow and set up changes
• Good communication skills in combination with initiative and drive
• Master of Science or corresponding University studies or equivalent experience
• Excellent English and Swedish, written and spoken
