We have an immediate opening for a toxicologist based in our office in Stenungsund. You will be an internal expert in the field of toxicology and provide support, knowledge and solutions in connection with testing for REACH and other registrations. You will conduct risk assessments andexposure scenario development for existing and new chemicals. Your work will help contribute to a circular economy and more sustainable way of working.
The global, crossfunctional team that you will be part of offers an open and sharing environment and you will collaborate a lot with your colleagues in The Netherlands, The US and The UK.
Main responsibilities
• Contribute to the assessment of toxicological information for REACH registrations.
• Support Chemical Assessment specialists in defining data gaps according to REACH or other demands, and administrating the generation of new data.
• Advise Chemical Assessment specialists which testing strategy that is relevant for the specific REACH substances and other registrations, in order to meet the information requirements.
• Acts as study monitor for the human health testing of selected substances to support the registration processes.
• Takes responsibility for compiling the information in the human health part of International Uniform Chemical Information Database( IUCLID) for selected substances.
• Coordinate and support the work with Strictly Controlled Conditions at the different manufacturing sites in order to assist registration of intermediates.
• Responsible for the human health exposure assessment and development of human health exposure scenarios for our production sites and downstream users.
• Contribute to chemical risk assessment and risk characterization.
• Monitors relevant REACH legislation and Technical Guidance Documents necessary for the registration processes.
• Leads training and information sessions internally.
• MSc within toxicology.
• At least 4 years of relevant experience.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• For this position there's a need for: QSAR modeling; experience in the use of IUCLID; experience in the use of Chemical Safety Assesment and Reporting tool (CHESAR).
