hela Sverige Scania genomgår nu en transformation från att vara en leverantör av lastbilar, bussar och motorer till en leverantör av kompletta och hållbara transportlösningar.
We now face completely new factors and requirements that affect the conditions for all our electrical components in the vehicle, with changes in, for example, the powertrain, energy storage, and autonomous sensors. Would you like to play a part in an incredibly exciting journey in the development of the next generation of vehicles?
Do you have a major interest in technology and enjoy practical work with electronic and electromechanical parts? Are you a creative problem solver who enjoys working in a lab environment where you can engage in curiosity-driven testing and troubleshooting based on your own ideas?
The Environmental Verification (EPCT) team is responsible for the quality assurance of electrical, electronic, and electromechanical hardware through environmental testing, analysis, calculations, and, where necessary, measurement in vehicles and rigs. At our disposal, we have excellent facilities, a large modern laboratory. With us, you will gain a good knowledge of the components you test, including early contact with the newest technology. We develop technology in collaboration with colleagues in other teams and throughout the whole Scania Group. This places great demands on us to be constantly involved in developing new working and testing methods.
Your role
You'll be working in a team that is characterized by a high and broad skill set, collaboration, self-motivation, and where we constantly learn from one another. Our educational background is a mix of BSc. and MSc. Engineering graduates as well as Ph.D. graduates, from a range of different backgrounds.
Your tasks will include the following:
• Lead and perform testing of electrical and electromechanical components
• Develop testing and simulation methodology within the technology scope
• Collaboration with developers and project managers
• Analysis of field-related issues and components
• Analysis and reporting of test results
• In-vehicle measurements on the test track, in field tests, and at our customers' sites
Your profile
We're looking for an enterprising, structured, and flexible person with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, probably in electrical engineering, applied physics, or vehicle mechanical engineering, with an interest in both practical work and analysis. Knowledge of power electronics, electronics, and electromechanics is required. Experience in the areas of mechanics, material resistance, and thermodynamics is an advantage.
Does all this sound like something to you? We look forward to receiving your application!
For further information
Please contact Robert von Sivers, Head of Environmental Verification (EPCT), at +46-8-553 82098.
Application
Your application should include a cover letter, CV, and copies of degrees and certificates. Apply no later than October 16th, 2022. A background check might be conducted for this position.
