Test engineers for R&D
Kongsberg Automotive AB in Mullsjö is part of the Kongsberg Automotive group. The product development within Kongsberg Automotive is subject to global competition, with high demands on our performance. As a Test Engineer you will be part of a creative team of approximately 95 engineers working with mechanics and electronics. Our objective is to be in the global frontline of our product ranges. In our designs we use a great deal of advanced injection-molded plastic parts, in combination with steel and other materials. Electronics and mechatronics have also an increasing impact on our designs. Having global customers and suppliers means a great portion of international contacts.
The Test laboratory has become an even more important part of our R&D organization since we started with Lean Product Development and focused on "Test first - Design then". We now need to strengthen our organization with four more positions to be able to meet the increase in requests and demands the within test and verification area.
You will be part of a dynamic team who is committed to develop the field of testing and strive to push the limit of what is feasible today. Testing is performed with technical analysis, validation of customer requirements and verification of new concepts with high demands for development of methods.
We are looking for applicants who
• have a B.Sc. or M.Sc. in mechanics and/or electronics.
• are experienced in working in projects, taking great personal responsibility and have a good ability to collaborate and communicate in English.
• in addition to a solid theoretical knowledge also show applied skills in technology.
• have the ability to work in a structured and independent way taking full responsibility of method development to secure and create technical
advancement.
• are committed to your tasks and have high focus and interest to improve the day-to-day work .
• have a solution driven approach and a positive attitude.
Experience of statistical and accelerated methods for example Design of Experiments (DoE) and HALT/QALT is desired. Knowledge from plastic components and knowledge of polymer materials are also qualifying.
Good knowledge of Swedish is preferred, and knowledge of other languages such as German, French, Chinese, Japanese, and Korean is also valued.
