We are expanding our team and are looking for passionate Test Engineers and Troubleshooting Specialists with strong experience in the automotive industry. If you enjoy diving deep into vehicle systems, identifying issues, and ensuring high-quality performance, this role is for you.
About the Role
As part of our engineering team, you will play a key role in validating and troubleshooting vehicle functions in real car environments as well as lab setups. Your work will directly contribute to improving vehicle reliability, software integration, and customer satisfaction.
You will:
Perform troubleshooting and root-cause analysis in vehicle, VIL (Vehicle-in-the-Loop), and HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) environments.
Execute software updates on various automotive ECUs and ensure correct functionality after updates.
Use industry-standard Vector tools such as CANoe and CANalyzer to analyze logs, simulate signals, and support debugging activities.
Work hands-on with CAN, LIN, and Ethernet communication protocols, interpreting signal flows and diagnosing network issues.
Collaborate closely with developers, system engineers, and test teams to ensure seamless issue resolution and test execution.
Contribute to test planning, documentation, reporting, and continuous improvement of testing processes.
This role requires a strong technical mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a rapidly changing environment.
What You Bring
We are looking for candidates with:
Minimum 5 years of experience in the automotive domain
Strong experience with troubleshooting in dynamic environments (vehicle, VIL, HIL)
Hands-on experience with Vector tools (CANoe, CANalyzer)
Good knowledge of CAN, LIN, Ethernet or similar automotive communication protocols
Structured, analytical approach to problem-solving
Ability to work independently as well as part of a cross-functional team
Requirements
Valid Swedish B Driving License (mandatory, as the role involves real vehicle testing)
Meritorious / Nice-to-Have
Experience with test automation frameworks
Familiarity with CI pipelines and automated build/test systems
Knowledge of scripting (Python, CAPL, Bash)
Exposure to Agile ways of working
A positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a solution-oriented mindset
