We are looking for a technology transfer manager for a combination of two halftime assignments - technology transfer manager/business developer with focus on the electronics area for the Graphene Flagship, and technology transfer manager for the Swedish strategic innovation programme SIO Grafen.

With a budget of EUR1 billion, the Graphene Flagship is Europe's biggest ever research initiative. The core consortium consists of over 150 academic and industrial research groups in 23 countries.
The innovation work is an elemental part in succeeding in the core task of bringing graphene and related materials from laboratories to the factory floor and have a real impact in European economy. We now seek business developers with the aim to accelerate the commercialization of the graphene inventions. Eight positions will be available around Europe, in the areas energy, electronics, composites, flexible and printable electronics, surfaces and coatings, optoelectronics and photonics as well as life sciences applications including health and wellbeing. This position will have the focus on electronics.

SIO Grafen is a strategic innovation program supporting the industrial graphene development in Sweden. The program is supported by the Swedish government agencies Vinnova, Energimyndigheten and Formas. The vision for 2030 is that Sweden is among the world's top ten countries in deploying graphene to ensure industrial leadership.
We facilitate collaboration and manage the programme development together with our partners. We work with support functions for innovations projects, business intelligence, arrange workshops and manage the topics for open calls.
Your tasks will include:
Working with the domain experts to understand the existing project portfolio and scouting for promising technologies that can be further developed for commercial adoption.
Providing knowhow to researchers and other business development people on how to best enhance commercialization through contract research, IPR licensing, joint ventures and spin-off companies.
Working across multiple technological fields in close collaboration with the other business developers and researchers in the field due to the strong multidisciplinary nature of the activities
Develop collaborations with other organisations - strategic innovation programmes, trade organisations, etc.
Responsibility for project support for projects within SIO Graphene portfolio. The support include technology transfer, matching activities, and so on.
Support the SIO program office in development and management of SIO Grafen, in close collaboration with Helena Theander, programme director.
For the work for the Graphene Flagship, You will report directly to the Head of Innovation of the Graphene Flagship.
We expect the candidate to have strong experience working in a business management, product management or a customer-facing role in a company related to the specified application areas. The role will require a broad understanding of the market sectors, value chains, key customer groups and technology suppliers. The candidate should also possess background in one or more areas related to the technology domains. International experience is appreciated. We also require strong communication skills, particularly in English, capability to manage a diverse range of projects and work as part of the team of business development specialists.
Master degree within material technology, electronics or related subject: graphene or nanomaterials is a bonus
A broad understanding of the market sectors, value chains, key customer groups and technology suppliers
Experience of technology transfer activities, business development, especially within new materials or Electronics
You are fluent in English and a good communicator
Merits:

Experience regarding IPR, IA licensing
Experience regarding public / academia contexts
Chalmers Industriteknik is a foundation- founded by Chalmers University of Technology - with 100 MSEK in annual revenue and 80 employees (half of them with PhD degree). Chalmers Industriteknik offers academic knowledge in consulting format in the areas of energy, material, digitalisation, design and circular economy.
The position can start as soon as possible - on 1 April 2018 the latest.
The position is full time divided equally between the two assignments.
