Technology Systems Engineer
The Technology Systems Engineer (TSE) develops, educates and enables our customers solution strategy throughout EMEA theater focusing on strategically significant accounts and opportunities within the Solutions Division. The TSE works with a Strategic/Territory Account Manager on identifying, developing and closing opportunities at a district, regional and theater level within EMEA with the main focus on Scandinavia.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Early involvement in opportunity identification and
qualification via close interaction with the account team and
understanding of the customers? business issues/needs.
• Build and sustain strong relationships with customers and
partners in support of opportunities, own all technical
aspects and provide technical guidance.
• Architect solutions ranging from simple to complex,
individually or within a team. Understanding when to involve
the relevant Professional Services for the design.
• Utilize CRM to communicate regular updates to the account
team on opportunities.
• Excellent communicator of technical topics and subjects to
a technical and non-technical audience including technical
presentations to a large number of people
• Solid understanding of distribution channel and direct
channel.
• Ability to learn quickly and maintain a wide portfolio of
solutions as the technical expert in Panduit solutions.
• Be self motivated and willing to learn and embrace new
technology via self teaching as well as formal certification.
• Ability to stay current on latest technologies, processes and
techniques such as Remote location Infrastructure
management, software management
technologies/standards, cable routing, LEED certification
and network topologies.
• Supporting of trade shows and seminars via technical
hands on and presentations
• Technical experience within market and relevant industry
certification(s) (ie Cisco, BICSI, Rockwell, IBM Tivoli, HP
Openview.
• Ability to travel, sometimes at short notice within the
Scandinavia (EMEA) Theater via air or road.
Technical Skills:
• Experience in identifying and selling professional services
to augment solution sales
• Develop solutions which address and solve real customer
needs and issues
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and
develop, prove, and document the conclusions and/or
solutions
• Ability to respond to technical inquiries from co-workers and
customers
• Knowledge and understanding of Enterprise Infrastructure
Management concepts (e.g. Power, Connectivity, Asset
management)
• Educate and train customer on leading edge solutions
within the Data Center market space including how Panduit
partners compliment the overall solution
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical journals, and
engineering specifications
