At Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions (SMR), we're proud of our brilliant minds who are working together and creating innovations that our customers only thought they could dream about.
We're now looking for a strategic and inspiring Technology Manager to join our production unit in Sandviken. Are you outgoing and have a long-term approach to all things professional and personal? Then join us in this exciting opportunity!
About the job
In this position, your main operational focus is to ensure the efficiency of the production units' machine park - you establish a forward-thinking, efficient and profitable organization, and you have a competent team of specialists within the fields of maintenance, machine technology, projects, methods and and production IT to support you. You bring us towards a strong future by holistically ensuring optimized and modern ways of working in line with our safety-first objectives, looking at the benefits of digitalization and technical tools, as well as using the principles of LEAN Manufacturing. You also help to set the overall production support strategy, follow-up on cost and budgeting, and work on continuously improving efficiency as well as process stability.
You're accountable for daily operations within your area, overall department results, long-term maintenance, finances and performance management, and you make sure we have the right prerequisites to work with a structured and proactive approach - focusing on equipment availability, work environment and sustainability. This means setting our strategies, forming roadmaps and driving activities based on divisional strategies and plans. Furthermore, you work alongside a handful of internal stakeholder groups with investment opportunities, futureproofing, problem-solving, and long-term strategy planning.
You're a valued member of the management team for our production site in Sandviken, and this is also where you need to have physical presence at.
Your Profile
We're looking for someone with a relevant engineering degree as well as extensive work experience from similar leadership positions involving areas of strategic and operational responsibility. You're familiar with navigating in Office 365, doing verbal presentations, and have documented experience from leadership training, occupational health and safety training as well as fire safety training. Since we act on a global scene, you're fluent in English, in both written and verbal form. Knowing Swedish is also advantageous.
Your personality is of utmost importance to us - you're analytical, pedagogical and an all-around leader with the ability of coaching and delegating, whilst simultaneously striving for healthy and mutual collaborations. You're result-oriented and have a knack for efficiently conveying information in a communicative and supportive way. You like change, and see that projects and initiatives are sufficiently met when it comes to your ability to strategize ahead of time.
All in all, this is a position where you need to balance creative and progressive solutions with structured and decisive decision-making - both through independent and collaborative standpoints.
