BillerudKorsnäs is divided into three business areas - Packaging Paper, Consumer Board and Corrugated Solutions - that develop and market high-quality materials and smarter solutions to packaging manufacturers, converters and brand owners. Production is carried out at the Company's eight production units in Sweden, Finland and England.
Packaging Paper, Speciality Products is now looking to recruit a Technical Service Manager, a specialist in paper-barrier coatings to support the dialogue with brand owners and our internal BillerudKorsnas product and business development in the area of surface sized paper products.
Job description
The main objective of the role is to provide technical expertise and advice to brand owners as well as customers and the business segment. In addition, operate as a Technical Service Manager within Flexible packaging, i.e. food packaging. You will handle arising technical issues from customers and also ensure good internal understanding of current and future market technical demands. The position is placed in Norrköping at the Skärblacka Mill. You must be willing to travel - Europe and overseas.
Responsibilities:
Provide internal expertise in paper-barrier coatings Support the delivery of new products and opportunities with brand owners Visit brand owners and customers in relation to developments and technical issues Investigate and answer technical questions and claims from Sales Managers, customers and brand owners in liaison with the technical and production departments Provide internal expertise with regard to customer converting process and product technical demands as well as development outloook Actively provide feed-back to the business area and mills in product, service, quality and claims issues Arrange internal and external training sessions and product seminars
Qualifications
University Degree in Chemistry, Biology or Paper technology 8- 10 years of work experience in relevant industry (eg. Pulp & Paper, Paper converting, Chemical) and knowledge about surface treatment, barrier coating Good customer facing skills - listening, communicating, presenting Fluent in Swedish and English both spoken and written
