Ericsson is the largest creator and contributor of cellular standardized technology and consequently owns the industry's strongest portfolio of patents essential to the 3GPP standards. Being a leader in radio infrastructure, and with our history from smartphone development together with our ongoing research in device technology results in Ericsson owning a very strong portfolio of implementation patents.
Our ability to file new implementation patents in the smartphone / IoT area where infringement can be detected, and to actively work with infringement detection is essential for licensing our intellectual property and to be successful in litigations.
Therefore, we are now looking to reinforce the organization with a person in our Technical Analysis/Reverse Engineering team. The team is committed to support in building and commercializing the industry's strongest and most valuable patent portfolio. When striving towards fulfilling this goal we continuously work across many internal and external organizations, e.g. companies specialized in different technical analyses, our internal licensing and assertion managers, our patent development team, and inventors from our research & development organizations. We have our own dedicated lab where we perform technical analyses of mobile devices with the aim of detecting patent infringements.
The position will be based in Lund, Ericsson's offices

You will have the opportunity to
• Work with technical analyses of different user equipment and IoT devices
• Develop new test methods for producing evidence-of-use
• Support licensing activities with technical expertise
• Interface external suppliers of technical analyses
• Drive internal evidence-of-use documentation
• Support patent development

Minimum qualifications
• 5+ years of experience from product development and system design of mobile phones or wireless IoT devices
• Experience from hands-on lab work on mobile equipment or similar
• Fluent in written and spoken English
Preferred Qualification
• PhD or M.Sc. in engineering
• Deep understanding in systems aspects of mobile phones and IoT devices
• Experience from patent related work
