Annual sales are EUR 2,5 billion. Research and development corresponds to about 20 percent of annual sales.
Your workplace
Support and Services, a business area of Saab, supplies a wide range of services and integrated support solutions to customers in defence and on commercial markets for cost-efficient support of systems and platforms throughout their life cycle.
The Technical Publications department is responsible for producing technical documents adapted for a specific target audience. The Instructions and Catalogues area in turn, is primarily concerned with the spare parts catalogue and maintenance manuals for the JAS 39 Gripen. 23 people currently work in the area, and you will be part of a group presently containing five employees who are working with the spare parts catalogue.
We have an open and humble atmosphere, and would like you to also work in this way.
Your role
You will assist in the production of spare parts catalogues and, together with your colleagues, share the responsibility for different areas with regard to avionics, fuselage, electronics etc. The work includes the analysis of technical documents such as drawings, configuration lists etc, to decide what should be incorporated in a specific catalogue section. It also includes the creation or editing of existing pages of text and images, and the submission of documents to our illustrators in order to produce illustrations. The information is then entered into our publication system, production is done in SGML/XML. The work is independent and requires internal contacts with designers, writers, illustrators, etc. There may also be contact with our customers.
Your qualifications
We are looking for someone who is meticulous, motivated, resilient, has good analytical skills and is independent. You find it easy to work with others, e.g. when it comes to ensuring that you receive the input you need, and have an enthusiastic work ethic.
You are used to actively searching for information and have a good capacity to read and understand technical documents and drawings. You also have good English skills, both verbal and written.
Knowledge of the Swedish Armed Forces' Operations and Maintenance systems and/or civil aircraft is an advantage, as too is experience from the production/maintenance of aircraft.
We look favourably upon any future managerial ambitions, and there are good opportunities to develop the position towards a leading role.
