Nordax Bank is looking for an energetic and seasoned Dev Team Lead who wants to build the future of banking together

Nordax is one of the leading niche digital banks in Northern Europe that helps people make informed financial decisions for their well-being by acting as a strong alternative to traditional banks. We are proud of our sound and data-driven competency that allows us to lend responsibly and earn our customers' trust based on transparent and clear pricing models. We are experts in mortgages, savings accounts, private loans and equity release products.

Your Mission

You will lead Nordax 'Customer On-boarding' team while still closely involving in hands-on software development. You will manage your team's backlog and build high-quality applications together with your talented colleagues for creating superior digital banking services. You will communicate and collaborate closely with a highly supportive product owner and Head of Development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Hands-on coding and test writing for assuring the quality of your work when developing new applications or maintaining existing ones in customer onboarding team's domain.
• Leading and coaching your developer colleagues.
• Assuring that targeted business values are achieved and that deadlines are met.
• Recruitment of new colleagues into our Dev department.

Requirements:

• At least 7 years of experience in software development
• Experience in a formal leadership role
• Proficiency in Microsoft's development stack and development lifecycle tools - in particular, .NET and good knowledge of .NET core and C#
• Experience in working with SQL
• Fluency in English, both in written and spoken

Big pluses if you have experience in:

• Knowledge of, at least, one modern JavaScript framework
• TDD (test driven development) or similar methodologies
• CI and CD (continuous integration and continuous development)
• Experience in a Scrum Master role

To thrive and succeed in your role

Are you interested in fintech/digital banking that disrupts the market? Are you a challenge taker who values good communications with your colleagues and wants to demonstrate a great leadership ?

To be successful in this role, you would ideally have previous experience working with agile methodology as well as extensive experience in software development. You've already led a team with a formal leadership position. We would appreciate your eagerness to keep learning new disciplines and methodologies, stay up to date with the community and develop best practices, as well as your willingness to teach and mentor others.

If you have a strong devotion to quality and enjoy a knowledge-sharing culture, you will thrive on our work environment. Your ability to speak Swedish would be appreciated, but not a must.

Next step

We will review applications on a first-come, first-serve basis until we found the right person for the position. The applications should include your CV, written in English or Swedish.

We believe in evidence-based tests in order to eliminate unconscious bias and increase hiring precision - the right person for the right position. For this reason, we use Alva Labs (https://help.alvalabs.io/en/collections/1831924-for-candidates) assessment methods for our recruitment processes to help us identifying candidates with the greatest probability to succeed in this role.

We look forward to your application!

Nordax creates products and services for today and future ways of living. Instead of limiting us to conservative ways of working, we challenge old conventions and create change both as a bank and as an employer. By thinking of new ways, solving problems and questioning old structures we create the future.
