Our schools are open to all with applications from students accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. IES Sundbyberg is a school for grades 4-9 with 700 students and 75 staff, located in Rissne. We follow the Swedish national curriculum with up to 50% of teaching in English. Our school is a community of professionals and whether new to teaching or an experienced educator, you will have the opportunity to develop. We are looking for a qualified English and Maths teacher for grades 4-5 to join us in November as a substitute teacher for the rest of the school year. Mentorship is included in this job. As a mentor to 16 students in Year 5 you will support them to realise their full potential, whatever their background.
You must be knowledgeable and passionate about your subject. You are a leader in the classroom with the tools to create a calm learning environment. You differentiate your teaching to meet the needs of all your students. You will be a part of both the Math Department as well as the English Department. You will also have a co-mentor to work closely with in Year Team 5.
Required in this role:
• Teaching licence/registration with relevant higher education from outside of Sweden or preferably Swedish "lärarlegitimation".
• Speaks both Swedish and English in the lessons since we are a bilingual school.
