Volvo CE in Braås, located close to Växjö, develop autonomous and articulated haulers, we also support the development of Volvos wheel loaders. The Team
Product Platforms for the Autonomous & Articulated Hauler is part of the Volvo CE Technology organization.
We are currently 18 engineers with specialist competencies working in a collaborative setup across product departments. Securing consistent technology sharing and concept development, supporting the product platforms, Medium, Large, Heavy and Autonomous.
The Platforms are involved in the complete product life cycle from advanced engineering to aftermarket support.
The Role
We are looking for system engineer to take on the responsibility for the cooling/heating system of the machines in the hauler platform. Managing the cooling requirements and translating them into machine performance will be part of your tasks. Machines include both diesel and fully electrical drivetrains and everything in between including potential new sources of energy.
You will be a part of the system team responsible for the current and future functionality of the machine system. The team is the connection between complete machine performance and system requirements. You will be working closely with the engineering organization with a strong support both in simulation and testing. Continuous interaction with external suppliers as well as internal design departments where you will be one of the important keys in defining the sustainable future for VCE Haulers.

Knowledge & experience
We believe you have a M.Sc. degree in Mechanical/electrical engineering or equivalent. We value strong communication skills in Swedish and English, spoken and written
Experience or knowledge in the following areas will be beneficial and are meritorious:
Off-road machinery / Heavy trucks, Heat management, Experience from automotive or construction equipment, Basic CAD-skills, Systems Engineering, Modelbased Systems Engineering, Product and system architecture.
