We currently have the following job opening;

System Engineer Restraint/Seat Belt

As a System Engineer (SE) you are working with the development of components and systems within one of CEVTs module teams, Seats & Restraints. You will develop requirements, concepts and system solutions and you will drive the work towards suppliers according to requirements.

Responsibilities and tasks

- Lead and coordinate cross functional team (System/Design Engineers, Purchasing, SQM, ME, CAE, validation, etc.).
- Drive, develop and finalize development of engineering solutions to meet project requirements
- Establish necessary engineering documents as input to supplier sourcing
- Define, plan and monitor system development, testing and validation
- Define interfaces and participate in mechanical and electrical/SW integration meetings beginning from CDJ (task delegation to system engineers possible)
- Support pre-serial vehicle builds
- Align solution of conceptual issues with System Manager
- Support or Lead the Seat Belt core team together with Geely, to establish Seat Belt specification and preferred concepts.

Requirements

- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering., Electrical Engineering. or similar.
- Relevant experience from development of components and systems within the automotive area.
- Leadership skills with ability to inspire, drive, motivate and coach team members
- Cultural awareness
- A flexible mindset with ability to lead change and development and take decisions
- A creative and analytical mindset to handle complex problems
- Ability to communicate clearly and be perceptive

Technical expertise:

• Genuine experience of Seats & Restraints area (especially Seat Belt)

• Extensive knowledge about application of technologies in products/projects

• Knowledge about trends and applicability of new technologies

• Detailed knowledge about planning and Product Development

• Systems Experience of working with PLM systems, preferable Teamcenter
