We currently have the following job opening;
System Engineer - Brake Mechatronics
We are looking for a System Engineer, responsible for brake mechatronic components. You will be a part of the Modulation team within Brake Mechanics.
The Brake Mechanics team is a highly dedicated team of skilled engineers developing World Class systems for globally produced vehicles.
Responsibilities and tasks
• Supplier contacts with your global suppliers, located both in Europe and China.
• Lead a cross functional team for your components, from Manufacturing Engineering, Purchasing, Service & After Market, Supplier Quality Assurance, Volvo Cars Testing and Supplier.
• Be present at CEVT and Volvo Cars vehicle build events in Europe and Asia/China.
• Be responsible for the overall time planning for your components.
• Attend package meetings.
• Run weekly supplier meetings, track, follow up and solve open issues.
• Change Management administration in Share Point system.
• Plan and follow up testing and verification.
Profile and Background
• Minimum B.Sc. in Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering
• Minimum 3 year experience of Automotive R&D. Brake system specific knowledge is a merit.
• Experience of Team Center and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge in Catia V5 is a merit.
• Fluent in English, both written and oral.
• Positive attitude and interested in finding solutions together with other people/teams.
• Willing to help others and to ask for help when needed.
• Have an openness and awareness of Asian, European and foreign cultures.
