The department Electrics/Electronics & E-Propulsion is responsible for develop great user experience based on real customer needs realized in the electrical system. Switches and comfort electronics are developed by a section of approximately 70 persons, distributed in 5 groups.
The group Steering Wheel & Seat Electronics is responsible for system design, hardware development and software development of switches and control units for the steering wheel and seats areas. We establish the requirements for the functions, systems and components within our technical area. We are responsible for the systems and components in all car programs and over the entire life cycle. The work is performed in teams of system designer, software designer, hardware designer, analysis engineer and task leader.
As System Designer you are responsible for the electrical system for user input. You describe how the electrical subsystem shall be realised in a system solution with regards to technique, time and cost. As a System Designer you are responsible to create and maintain a system solution based on all the customer functions. You will set the requirements in regards to technical aspects, time and cost. To manage that you need to have close cooperation with several customer Function owners, HMI department, ECU owners, Designers, Experts within Electrical Performance, Verification etc.
Main responsibilities
• Set up strategies and technical/logical plan for the system area
• Lead optimising and balancing of requirement fulfillment on underlying components
• Secure scalability for the system area between platforms
• Create an electrical subsystems and realising the electrical function
• Define scenarios for how the interaction between subsystems will be done, including e.g. information exchange, timing requirements and information exchange sequences
• Perform System-FMEA
• Define and follow-up verification of the system
Required qualifications
• Master or Bachelor of Engineering in Data, Electronics, Mechatronics or equivalent experience
• At least 3 years of experience of electronics/SW within the automotive industry
• Knowledge in System Safety according to ISO 26262
• Fluent in English, spoken and written
• Drivers License, B-level
