Our world-class microwave products MINI-LINK and MINI LINK LH need constant upgrading and we are looking for creative and innovative System Designer Mechanics who can help us prepare for future demands. An important part of the role includes driving common building practice issues towards other products within Ericsson. Position Summary
As System Designer Mechanics, you will take part in the whole design process where your expertise will guide and support our designers. You will be responsible for architectural choices regarding indoor/outdoor mechanics for microwave radio link equipment. You will also have contact with external clients and suppliers. You will be a driver in the development of our requirements, helping us set the standards for the future. You will actively contribute to both the strategic and tactical development of the Microwave product portfolio from a technology point of view.
Minimum Qualification & Experience Requirements:
• B.Sc or M.Sc degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or similar
• Experience as mechanical system designer preceded by work experience as mechanical designer
• Excellent written and spoken English
Experience in following areas is a merit:
• Good knowledge in climate & environmental issues (temp, shock & vibration)
• Experience of testing and verification
Personal characteristics
You are enthusiastic about mechanical design and have a keen ear to customer needs. You understand the need of cost efficient solutions and have a drive to actively work with improvements. A strong analytical capability and ability to see the bigger picture are two of your strong characteristics and you have excellent presentation and communication skills. You work well independently but are also a team player who puts a lot of focus on achieving results on time and with high quality. You enjoy sharing your knowledge and skills with your colleagues and you enjoy taking the lead and showing direction in technical matters.
