System Design Engineer AD Compute Platform

The department Active Safety & Autonomous Drive consists of over 400 ambitious and skilled engineers and is responsible for all the way from research and advanced engineering to industrialization of current and future customer offers. Our agile release train Autonomous Drive develops and integrates the complete vehicle solution for autonomous cars including sensing, system and functions.
We are now strengthening our team with a senior system design engineer to the development team designing the ECU platform and system solution for Autonomous Drive. You will be part of a dynamic and global team that creates the foundation for the autonomous drive development. What you will do
You will focus on developing the system solution of the integrated ECU platform and sensor setup. You will work in an agile development team that is responsible for delivering a safe and robust system solution that fulfills the requirements on performance, safety and quality. As a senior system engineer, you will be a key person to set the design of our coming autonomous drive solutions.
You will work in close collaboration with the system architects to refine the system solution via subsystem design to logical and electrical signal interfaces. The development team also specifies the system level safety requirements (Technical Safety Concept) derived from the functional safety requirements, as well as ensuring that the integrated system is verified and validated according to plan.
What you bring in
You are a driven self-motivated person yet team-oriented with a technical mind-set and ability to collaborate with a broad network. You have customer focus and an energetic approach to continuously learn and innovate. As for your personal qualities, we value people that are open minded, curious and caring about people.
Your background is within systems engineering preferably in the automotive domain and you are a senior engineer with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. Your academic profile is a M.Sc. or B.Sc. degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics or similar. Experience of system engineering in complex systems and knowledge of ISO26262 is a requirement. Working in an international environment requires excellent English skills, both verbally and in writing. Driver's license (B) is also a requirement. Having worked in an agile team and being skilled in agile and scrum working methods is meritorious.
