We are heading towards an international commercialization of our solutions and need to strengthen the development team with yet another experienced System Architect. In this position, you will have the possibility to contribute to our journey, be challenged and shape your own development path.
YOU WILL
You will be part of a team developing our portfolio of products from design to release, which is done in collaboration with selected partners. The organizational style is informal and collaborative, and you will have plenty of opportunities to work closely together with people from all parts of the company with the sole purpose of supplying our customers with the best possible offerings. This position can be based in Lund or Gävle depending on your choice. There may be limited traveling to customers, development partners and production sites, but if you are placed in Lund you are expected to visit the Gävle office approx. once a month. You will report to the Head of Development who is based in Lund.
Some of your responsibilities:
• Lead development of next generation high speed network equipment
• Define, document and manage product requirements in collaboration with Product Management
• Translate user needs into a system architectural design
• Set the technical direction for external development partners
• Establish system integration plans for products end-to-end
• Monitor and control technical progress internally and with development partners
YOU ARE
Being a person with a keen interest in technology and an entrepreneurial mindset will make you successful in this role. We are an innovative company and understanding product development models and Systems Engineering disciplines is important. Excellent writing and communication skills are needed as you will collaborate with external development partners. Other important parts are to be quality-focused, confident in your expertise and comfortable in leading technology forward.
We believe that you have knowledge of open source software stacks like OpenWRT. Experience of embedded systems and network communication is also crucial. Furthermore, it is highly appreciated if you have experience of development of high-volume products and complex technical R&D projects in a role like system integrator and/or architect. You are comfortable in the world of networks and protocols and probably understand the context for things like multicast, Quality of Service, shaping, scheduling, dropping and policing. Fluency in English is a must - Swedish language skills on an everyday conversation level is a big plus.
OUR SOLUTION
Fiber networks are being installed in streets at a rapid pace, but the cost and complexity of connecting buildings and apartments with high-speed, high-bandwidth services represents the Last Mile Challenge. Full fiber deployment is an expensive undertaking. Therefore, it makes sense to use the free capacity in existing coaxial networks without the need to install fiber in the buildings or apartments. InCoax provides solutions for customers to reach Gigabit internet speeds in a smart and cost-efficient way.
