About the role
We are now looking for a System Administrator to join our IT team in the Security and Innovation Department. The department consists of a team of colleagues focusing on providing security focused and innovative supports to human rights defenders.
As System Administrator, your main responsibility will be to keep Civil Rights Defenders' database powered platforms and tools up to date, as well as to maintain and develop the platforms and tools together with colleagues and human rights defenders.
As one of your core responsibilities will be the flagship platform Defenders' Database, where you will support Civil Rights Defenders' partners in their human rights documentation processes.
The System Administrator works closely with the IT Manager and reports to the Director Security and Innovation.
The role offers great variety, including work tasks such as:
• Work together with Civil Rights Defenders IT Manager in maintaining and securing the digital infrastructure for the Defenders' Database;
• Ensure the Defenders' Database and other database powered platforms and tools are up to date and operational;
• Plan, administer and perform trainings for Civil Rights Defenders and its partners in using database powered platforms and tools, as well as other technical solutions upon need and request.
• Lead the works on innovating custom solutions that leverage various Office 365 services;
• Design and develop Office 365 applications and solutions;
• Analyze related organisational needs by collaborating with other departments and IT Management, studying work processes and internal ambitions.

To be suitable for this role you have:
• A relevant IT related education with a focus on the Microsoft Power Platform and the Microsoft Office 365 platform;
• Experience of administering and working with PowerApps, Power Automate and/or PowerApps Portals in complex projects;
• Knowledge about working with relational databases;
• At least 3 years of relevant working experience such as e.g. delivering technical support over internet chat, voice or video calls or in creating documented how-to lessons and resources;
• A solid understanding of data, data gathering, documentation and management;
• A solid understanding of digital safety and information security practices;
• Experience of, and proven excellent delivery on, administrative tasks;
• Experience or interest in working with charities and NGOs, non-profits, media, human rights and/or civil society groups;
• Ability to produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects in Swedish and English;
• Great skills in Microsoft 365 (Teams, Outlook, Excel, PPT, Word);
• Fluency (orally and written) in English.
Other merits for the position are:
• Knowledge about GDPR and other data protection frameworks;
• Development and maintenance of Office 365 applications and solutions;
• Administrative experience of Azure Active Directory, Sharepoint and Microsoft Office 365 environment.
