What we are looking for
To be able to meet the increasing demand of electricity in the future we at Uniper believe that it's necessary to invest in all fossil free alternatives. Nuclear Power is a cornerstone in the Swedish power system providing reliable and clean energy, including several grid stabilizing services. To meet the growing demand for sustainable energy Uniper Nuclear Sweden is now looking for a strategic minded Business Analyst to join the newly established Asset Strategy Nuclear function. The main responsibility of the department is to drive the overall strategic agenda for the nuclear portfolio at Uniper by leading and supporting several strategic initiatives.
As our Business Analyst you will play an important role in the support and development of the strategic response, contributing with analysis and preparation of decision material for Senior Management in various strategic initiatives. In addition, you will be a part of the strategic PMO supporting with systematic assessment of the performance and progress of the strategic initiatives. The position is placed in Malmö but traveling will occur on a regular basis.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Support strategy implementation through selective analysis, research and basis for decision in various strategic projects and initiatives
• Create detailed internal and external market analysis, as well as outlining challenges, opportunities and solutions
• Support with developing and monitoring data quality metrics
• Support projects and strategic initiatives with business case modulation and evaluation
• Support with consolidation and presentation of material and conclusions
• Support the Nuclear Asset Strategy Manager with material preparation
• Assist projects with creating, facilitating and documenting workshops
• Participation in workshops where relevant
• Support in planning, executing and monitoring operational work in projects
• Support the coordination of board material, including necessary decision items
Uniper is part of Sweden's critical infrastructure and our operations are covered by, among other things, rules related to protective security, export control and nuclear non-proliferation. We will therefore carry out security clearance of all positions and complement with register control for security classified positions, according to the Protection Security Act. Health and drug tests are performed if applicable.
Who we are seeking
You have a college or university degree, and preferably a master's degree, within a relevant subject such as Engineering, Business Administration or similar. You are an experienced business analyst and have experience in providing decision material and analysis for management teams. The role is set in an international environment and as a result you need to be fluent in written and spoken Swedish and English. Excellent skills in Microsoft Office as well as a willingness to learn other business systems is required.
As a person we believe that you have a strong sense of accountability, personal drive and a high level of commercial awareness. Relevant experience within the energy sector and management consulting is considered as an advantage. The ability to see the big picture, find a pragmatic approach and be a team player is crucial.
To be successful in the role you need a strong quantitative and analytical mindset, along with the willingness to drive performance and change. Therefore, communication and presentational skills are expected. A high level of integrity and reliability is also expected.
