What do we offer?
The Surface Treatment Centre work with development, analysis and verification, for surface treated materials on a global level within Volvo Car Group. We work with all from car body analysis with focus on corrosion to complete vehicle exterior colour matching. We also support running production with analyses when disturbances occur and often participate in international and national research projects.
Our technical expertise consists of pre-treatment, exterior paint systems, corrosion protection, sealing materials, sound damping materials and body adhesives. We are also responsible for the attribute Paint & Finish.
We are divided in two groups, Coating Systems and Corrosion Protection & Adhesives. Are you interested in solutions of the future and want to contribute to Volvo Cars premium quality? What you'll do
You will be a part of an agile team and your main responsibilities will be to plan, perform and report analyses and tests on different types of pre-treated metal substrates. Your daily work is quality focused and you will have the opportunity to use different instruments and equipment to success and develop your own skills in the area.
Further, you will take part in method and material development projects. You will be responsible for creating a network, by establishing relationships with a variety of system areas, suppliers and other customers globally.
Do you fit the profile?
We see that you have at least a B.Sc in Chemistry/Materials or similar, or a solid work life experience within the area. You have previous experience from working in a lab or production environment. You possess theoretical knowledge and practical experience in the surface treatment area or chemistry and/or materials. Theoretical knowledge in pre-treatment development would be a benefit. You are fluent in English (written and spoken) and hold a Drivers licence B.
You are engaged, always with the customers best at mind and a high awareness of quality! You enjoy working systematic and do not give up until you solved the problem. You are self-managed and like to take on responsibility. You have the ability to be proactive and drive for success. You like to inspire others and are a good team player that makes everyone feel included.
